Project Background
Strengthening the University’s Digital Foundation
The Education University of Hong Kong initiated a revamp of its main institutional website to strengthen its digital foundation and transition away from the constraints of a legacy open-source CMS environment.
As content volume expanded and stakeholder involvement increased, the existing platform presented growing challenges in governance control, upgrade management, security oversight, and long-term maintainability. Institutional publishing required stronger role definition, structured workflows, and greater lifecycle stability.
The project focused on rebuilding the main website with a refreshed interface, restructured information architecture, and a more robust content management foundation designed for enterprise-level governance and sustainable evolution.
This engagement subsequently opened the pathway for further faculty-level collaborations, reinforcing the University’s long-term digital transformation roadmap.
