Project Background
From Website to Institutional Digital Platform
Our partnership with Lingnan University spans over 15 years and three generations of platform evolution.
What began as a single institutional website has transformed into a unified digital infrastructure powering over 100 faculty, department, and unit websites within a single CMSCore environment.
Prior to the current architecture, departments either engaged external vendors or relied on internal IT to build independent sites — resulting in fragmented governance, inconsistent branding, and security risks.
Generation three was a complete rebuild and architectural re-platforming to the latest generation of CMSCore, introducing scalable multi-site structure, centralised governance, and distributed content ownership across the University.
Today, Lingnan operates one institutional ecosystem rather than hundreds of disconnected sites.
Our Approach
Scalable Multi-Site Architecture
Re-architected the entire platform into a single CMS instance supporting 100+ subsites, enabling structured provisioning of departmental sites while maintaining central governance and technical consistency.
Governance with Distributed Autonomy
Established a hybrid governance model combining central brand control with faculty-level autonomy through role-based publishing, approval workflows, scheduled publishing, version control, and full audit trails.
Design System & Structural Modernisation
Delivered a complete visual redesign, new information architecture, mega-menu navigation, structured homepage modules, and a reusable component framework to support long-term scalability and consistency.
Multi-Site Solution
One University, Structured Independence
Lingnan operates a single institutional platform supporting faculty and departmental independence within a unified governance framework.
Departments manage their own content, while brand, structure, and technical integrity remain centrally aligned. New sites are provisioned within the ecosystem rather than developed externally — reducing complexity, strengthening security, and simplifying long-term maintenance.
